Saving and previewing projects

After creating your project in Unfold, you can preview it to understand how it will look on social media. Then you can save it to your device as separate images or a .pdf file.

You can save your entire project, or a specific page. Saving is a great option for backing up your stories or for sharing them manually on social media.

Note: If you use an Apple device on iOS 14, ensure you select All Photos when granting access to Unfold. If you choose Select Photos, you won't be able to download pages or stories from the app.

Unfold Pro users can also save their projects as web-accessible links.

Save your project as an Unfold web story

If you have Unfold Pro, you can save most projects as Unfold web stories. It's not possible to save Instagram posts as web stories.

When you save a story link, you can choose from three options:

  • Unpublished - Your story isn't on the web; it's only available on your device.
  • Private - Published to the web, but not available through search engines. Anyone with the link can view these stories.
  • Public - Published to the web and findable through search engines.

To save your project as a web story:

  1. On the home screen, tap Projects.
  2. Tap a project.
  3. Tap the save or share icon, then tap Story or All Pages.
  4. Tap Story Link.
  5. Tap Options and choose whether your link should be unpublished, private, or public.
  6. Tap Publish.

To share the Unfold story link, tap Copy, then paste the link wherever you want to share it.
