Use Unfold to create new digital collectibles and manage your collection.
You can create digital collectibles from images and videos up to 100 MB in size. There are no restrictions on aspect or dimension. You're responsible for ensuring that you own the rights to any image or video that you use to mint a digital collectible, including any images you use with Unfold templates.
Note: Digital collectible creation is only available with an Unfold Pro subscription.
Digital collectibles created through Unfold are generated and sold in the Rarible NFT marketplace. For questions about sales, contact Rarible support. After a buyer purchases a digital collectible, they can relist it in any NFT marketplace that handles the Ethereum blockchain.

Create a digital collectible
To create a digital collectible:
- In the Unfold home screen, tap +, then tap Create digital collectible.
- Choose an image or video you want to use to create your digital collectible, or choose to pull an image from your Instagram account. The first time you choose Instagram, you'll be prompted to connect your Instagram account.
- Enter a name, description (optional), and price. You enter your price in Ether, the Ethereum cryptocurrency. Unfold provides an approximate conversion to US dollars.
- Tap Next.
- Enter a royalty percentage of up to 20%, then click Next.
- Review the NFT, then tap Create.
- Tap Done to finish, or Share to share your digital collectible.
Note: Rarible waits to submit your digital collectibles for minting until someone purchases them.
After you create a digital collectible, it’s not possible to change its price. Instead, delete digital collectibles before they sell, then recreate them.
Royalties and fees
Royalties are fees you earn when an NFT you created is resold after its initial purchase. These are built in through smart contracts in the blockchain when you create digital collectibles in Unfold.
You pay a 1% royalty to Rarible when you sell your digital collectible. Rarible also collects an "Ethereum gas fee" from the buyer when they purchase a digital collectible. This covers the cost of minting the digital collectible by adding it to the blockchain. Rarible adds this fee at the time of purchase.
If you have Unfold Pro, you pay nothing to Unfold when you sell your digital collectible. If you have Unfold Plus or are using the free version of Unfold, you pay a 2.5% royalty when you sell a digital collectible.
If you have Unfold Pro, Unfold also collects a 2.5% royalty if your digital collectible is later resold outside of Rarible. If you have Unfold Plus or are using the free version of Unfold, Unfold collects a 2.5% royalty if your digital collectible is resold anywhere.
Creator royalties are payments you get if your digital collectible is later resold. If you have Unfold Pro, you can set a royalty for yourself of up to 20%. If you have Unfold Plus or are using the free version of Unfold, this royalty is set at 5%.
If you upgrade to Unfold Pro after creating digital collectibles, the royalty structure for your existing digital collectibles won’t change.
Accessing digital collectible proceeds
When someone purchases one of your digital collectibles, you’ll receive Ether, the Ethereum cryptocurrency, in your crypto wallet. This cryptocurrency is your property, the same as any other currency you're paid. To learn about converting cryptocurrency to physical currency, visit Using a crypto wallet with Unfold.
View your digital collectibles
You can review all the digital collectibles you’ve created, including already-sold digital collectibles.
To view the digital collectibles you’ve created:
- In the Unfold home screen, tap Projects.
- Tap digital collectibles.
To view cryptocurrency and other digital assets in your wallet using the Unfold wallet manager.
Delete digital collectibles
You can delete unsold digital collectibles.
To delete a collectible:
- In the Unfold home screen, tap Projects, then tap Collectibles.
- Tap a digital collectible, then tap … in the top right corner.
- Tap Delete.
Biosite galleries
You can display NFTs you own in the OpenSea marketplace in a Bio Site gallery section. It’s not yet possible to display digital collectibles you create through Unfold, which are in the Rarible marketplace, in a Bio Site gallery section.
