App: Editing your Bio Site

After publishing your Bio Site, you can edit it either using the Unfold app, or in your web browser. Review this guide to learn more about editing aspects of your Bio Site such as the background, font, and more. To learn more about color contrast and text, visit Creating accessible site content.

Note: If a feature isn't working as expected, or isn't available on the mobile app, try updating the app, or visiting the web editor to continue working.

Change the background

To change the background of your Bio Site:

1. In the Unfold app, tap Bio Sites.
2. Tap the Bio Site you want to edit.
3. Tap Style and then Background. 
4. Choose a background:

• Colors - Choose a solid or gradient color.
  • Picker - Tap the first multi-color circle. Use the slider to select a color, then tap a shade in the square above. If you know the Hex value for the color you want, you can also tap the value field to edit it.
• Textures - Choose a pre-formatted texture.
• Animations - Choose an animated gradient.
• Eyedrop (Unfold Plus and Unfold Pro only) - Pull a background color from an image or element on your screen.

5. Tap anywhere on the preview screen to exit the background selection.
6. In the top-right corner, tap Update to publish your changes.

Change the font

You can change the font across your Bio Site, including the text in your Bio Description, links, and text boxes. 

To change the font of your Bio Site:

1. In the Unfold app, tap Bio Sites.
2. Tap the Bio Site you want to edit.
3. Tap Style.
4. Tap Fonts and select a font.
5. Tap anywhere on the preview screen to complete your selection and preview the new font.
6. In the top-right corner, tap Update to publish your changes.

Add your photos and profile information

To add images and personal information to your Bio Site:

1. In the Unfold app, tap Bio Sites.
2. Tap the Bio Site you want to edit.
3. Tap Profile.
4. To upload a profile picture from your device, or Instagram, tap Profile photo, then select an image from your device,  the Unsplash library, or take a new photo with your device’s camera.
5. To upload a cover photo from your device, or Instagram, tap Cover photo, then select an image from your device, the Unsplash library, or take a new photo with your device’s camera. 

Note: We recommend resizing images to a minimum of 1200 px × 674px, as the selected image is cropped to fit an aspect ratio of 16:9.

6. Enter or edit your Name, then tap ✓.
7. Enter or edit your Bio description, then tap ✓.
8. In the top-right corner, tap Update to publish your changes.

Add your social accounts

By default, your Bio Site contains a Socials section beneath your profile information. Use this section to display a row of icons linking to your social accounts. You can move or delete this section at any time.

If you use Autofill to populate content in your Bio Site, the Socials section automatically populates with the links from the Social links panel of your Squarespace site.

To add a row of social icons to your Bio Site:

1. In the Unfold app, tap Bio Sites.
2. Tap the Bio Site you wish to edit.
3. Tap Sections and then Social.
4. Tap the icon for the social account you want to add.
5. Enter your username beside the icon, then tap ✓.
6. Repeat these steps for each social account you want to add. You can add up to eight.
7. To rearrange your social accounts, tap the pencil icon, then tap and hold = next to the social account you want to move to slide it up or down the list.
8. To delete a social account, tap the pencil icon, then tap the trash icon next to the social account you want to delete.
9. In the top-right corner, tap Update to publish your changes.

If the icon for the social account you want to add doesn't appear, or to add multiple accounts for a single social platform, you can add links to those accounts manually.

Add your links

Links you add in the Links section display as a vertical list in the body of your Bio Site. This is a great place to add links to your websites or direct links to social media profiles that don’t have a built-in icon in the Socials tab. This section appears beneath the Socials section by default, but you can move or delete it at any time.

To add links to your Bio Site:

1. In the Unfold app, tap Bio Sites.
2. Tap the Bio Site you wish to edit.
3. Tap Links.
4. In the Link name field, enter the name you want to appear for the link, then tap ✓.
5. In the URL field, enter the URL for the website you want to link to. The URL won’t be visible on your Bio Site.
6. Tap the image icon. 
7. Tap Camera roll to upload a thumbnail image from your device, select an image from the Unsplash library, or take a new photo with your device’s camera. If you're adding a link to a social account, tap Icon library instead to add a branded icon image. 
8. Tap ✓.
9. Repeat these steps for every link you want to add.
10. In the top-right corner, tap Update to publish your changes.

To rearrange your links:

1. In the Unfold app, tap Bio Sites.
2. Tap the Bio Site you wish to edit.
3. Tap the pencil icon, then tap and hold = next to the link you want to move to slide it up or down the list. 
4. In the top-right corner, tap Update to publish your changes.

 To delete a link:

1. In the Unfold app, tap Bio Sites.
2. Tap the Bio Site you wish to edit.
3. Tap the pencil icon.
4. Tap the trash icon next to the link you want to delete.
5. In the top-right corner, tap Update to publish your changes.

Edit your Bio Site on the web

You can access the Bio Site editor outside the Unfold app by navigating to biosites.com/signup and clicking Log In.

Using the web editor, you can:

• Add and edit various sections
• Add links and social media accounts
• Change your Bio Site name or description
• Connect payment processors
• Create a new Bio Site
• Review your Bio Site analytics
• Update your Bio Site profile picture or banner image
• Update your Bio Site URL
